Sellers have a proposed project currently under review by San Luis Obispo County for marijuana cultivation on the property. Several major benchmarks have been achieved regarding a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) with issuance of the permit and State licensing possible by early 2021. The permitting and licensing trajectory is on course for possible planting in spring 2021. Substantial time and money have been invested in pursuit of the CUP with all fees paid, required major studies, surveys, and inspections having been performed. A revised preliminary site plan has been completed and submitted to the County. This has been a 3 year process. The proposed project under consideration by the County includes 2 acres of outdoor cultivation; approximately 5760 square feet (2 structures 2880 sq. ft. each) of indoor mixed-light cultivation of flowering plants; a separate nursery consisting of approximately 2880 square feet; and an office and processing facility consisting of another 2880 square feet for drying and processing onsite. The proprietary nursery would be used to resupply plants for the outdoor and indoor cultivation and may eliminate the need for a “middle man” for the acquisition of starter seedling plants or clones.
